What’s the best way to pack a suitcase so you maximize the space without wrinkling everything? Below is a step-by-step guide on how to pack a suitcase so efficiently, nothing will get in the way of you putting your feet up when you’ve reached your destination.

- Have a Day by Day Plan. Over-packing for a trip is a rookie mistake, and costly one at that; pack too much and your free carry on will suddenly become a $25 checked bag. Remember, GO LIGHT ON THE CLOTHING.
-Unmentionables: do your mother proud and pack a clean pair of socks, undershirts, and underwear for every day.
-Shirts or dresses: two fewer than the total number of days in the trip.
-Pants: a pair of jeans for every other day, slack as needed.
-Shoes: two pairs of casual shoes and a pair of formal kicks.
-Toiletries: if you’re bringing your DOP kit through security, be sure to get everything in travel-size bottles and pack them per TSA regulations.
- Predict the Weather. This should go without saying, but take a moment to check the weather forecast for your destination. There is nominal but bone-chilling difference between 40 degrees with clear skies and 40 degrees and raining, so make sure you are adequately prepared.
- Rolling vs Folding. Decide what to roll, and what to fold. If you’re using duffel, roll everything. Otherwise, reserve that technique for knits and fold garments that have more structure (blazers and trousers).
- Get packing. When you check the weather, and decide what to wear and how to pack, you can start packing. Watch the video bellow, use our packing tips and travel more.
